Information for the stay
Daily Life
- What should I not bring for my stay? Bed linen and a towel are provided
- Do you organise activities? We can always advise you on things to do and see in the area.
- Is there access to the Internet? Yes, but we prioritise screen detox.
- Can I party? Everyone is free to live their life as they see fit, but generally, this is not the place or the time. You must respect your host's rules.
- How are the meals organised? The continental breakfast is included in the packages. It is prepared every morning 1 hour before departure for the surf or golf lesson by your Host. The other meals are self-catering, and the fully equipped kitchen is at your disposal. For those without a car, we organise shuttles with your Host.
- Puis-je cuisiner sur place ? chaque cuisine est entièrement équipée avec tout ce qu'il faut pour la préparation et cuisson des repas.
- Do you accept animals? Yes, if they are well-behaved and respectful of people and places.
- Quelles sont les langues parlées ? Le français est notre langue maternelle mais votre hôte a des notions
Payment
- Should the excess of the tourist tax be included in the price of the stay? The tourist tax is included in all surf camp packages and is paid by GolfSurfCamp.
- Is a deposit required to make a reservation? Generally, a deposit of 25% is necessary to finalise an online booking. The balance will be paid 5 days before the stay.
- Do you offer discounts for groups? The maximum discount granted is 10% for families and groups of friends from 4 people onwards.
- I unfortunately have to cancel my stay. Do you process refunds?
- Any cancellation of the course occurring more than 30 days before the start date of the course will result in the refund of the deposit paid;
- Any cancellation by the trainee occurring less than 30 days before the start date of the internship will result in the loss of the total amount of the deposit (25%);
- Any cancellation by the trainee occurring less than 15 days before the start date of the internship will result in the payment of the full amount for the stay, except in the case of a justified medical issue, in which only 50% of the fee will be due;
- The failure to present and/or the renunciation of the stay is equivalent to a cancellation and will result in the full payment of the stay;
- It is mandatory to inform us in writing of any cancellation or modification
Arrival - Departure
- What are the nearest train station and/or bus stop? The Dax train station with buses to the town centre of the stay
- What are the check-in times at the accommodation? From 5pm
- When do I need to leave the premises? The rooms must be vacated by 9am, but you have the option to enjoy the beach and leave your luggage in your accommodation to go surfing or golfing on the last day if you wish.
- If I come without a car? You have buses at the station
Surf Camp
- Where do the surf lessons take place? Surf school at the holiday beach
- How do the surfing lessons go? Each lesson lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Y-a-t-il des groupes de niveaux ? Oui, nous accueillons des groupes de 6 à 8 personnes au maximum. En général, nous organisons un groupe d’initiation débutant et un groupe intermédiaire et de perfectionnement.
- La combinaison est-elle fournie ? Tout l’équipement de surf (planche, leash, wax, combinaison néoprène) est inclus dans le tarif.
- Should I prepare physically for my surfing trip? It is always better to be fit
- Is a medical certificate required to sign up for surfing lessons? In the context of leisure practice, a certificate is not mandatory.
- En cas de mauvaises conditions, les cours annulés sont-ils remboursés ? En cas de mauvaises conditions météorologiques (manque de vagues, mer trop forte, pollution,…) si les cours ne peuvent pas être effectués, le stagiaire sera prévenu de toute annulation par téléphone ou SMS dans les plus brefs délais, et recevra alors un avoir correspondant au montant des sommes engagées lors de la réservation de l’activité si le report n’est pas possible. Cet avoir pourra être utilisé pour une réservation ultérieure ou remboursé sur demande si la prestation n’a pu être réalisée lors du séjour. Aucune indemnité complémentaire ne sera versée. Les cours non effectués du fait du client (absence) ne seront pas remboursés. Un stage commencé et interrompu du fait du stagiaire ne pourra pas être remboursé et sera dû, sauf problème médical (justificatif) ou si la place de la personne a pu être remplacée par un autre stagiaire
- What are the professional qualifications of the instructors? All team members are graduates of the French Ministry of Sports
- What should I prepare for my surfing lesson? A towel, a snug swimsuit, high-protection sunscreen with a lower impact on the ocean, but the most important thing is your smile and your motivation.
- Where and at what time is the meeting for the surf lesson? We ask that you arrive at the surf school 15 to 30 minutes before the time communicated for the surf lesson, which allows you to take your time choosing your wetsuit, putting it on, and selecting your board at a leisurely pace.
- Do I need to be a good swimmer? It is important to enjoy being in the water, but it is not necessary to be a good swimmer to try surfing.
- Should insurance related to surfing activities be arranged? The surf club has insurance

- Are you open all year round? Our surfing season starts in April and ends in November, whereas golf is played all year round.
Golf Camp
- Where does golf take place? The nearest golf courses are Golf de Pinsolle, Seignosse, Hossegor, and Moliets
- How do the transfers work? You are responsible for going at your convenience to the golf course of your choice.
- Le sac de golf est-il fourni ? Il est préférable d'arriver avec son matériel mais les golfs peuvent vous louer l'équipement
- Is a green card and a licence required? Some golf courses may ask for it. You need to anticipate this before your stay.

- Dois-je être bon (ne) golfeur (euse) ? il est important d’être motivé mais il n’est pas nécessaire d’être bon golfeur
- Faut-il prévoir une assurance liée à l'activité ? Si vous êtes licencié vous êtes assuré. Dans les autres cas vous êtes responsable de demander les conditions du golf qui vous accueil.
